In the final quarter of 2023, the U.S. Android market for beauty retail applications demonstrated a variety of user engagement trends, as reported by Sensor Tower. Here's a brief overview of the top five beauty retail apps' performance during this period.

Sephora: Buy Makeup & Skincare saw a notable spike in downloads, peaking at 52K in the week of November 20th, and ending the quarter with a steady 30K downloads. Weekly active users (WAUs) also surged to 249K in the same November week, with the quarter closing at an impressive 223K WAUs.

Meanwhile, Ulta Beauty: Makeup & Skincare experienced its highest downloads at 40K during the week of November 20th and concluded the quarter with nearly 30K downloads. WAUs peaked at 212K in the last week of October and ended the quarter with a solid 190K.

The Flip.shop app had a remarkable end-of-quarter rise in downloads, jumping to 13K in the final week of December. Its WAUs followed a similar upward trend, finishing the quarter at 17K.

IPSY: Personalized Beauty downloads remained relatively stable, with a slight increase to 4.4K in late October before ending the quarter at 3.6K. WAUs saw a dip to 50K in mid-December but recovered to 57K by the quarter's end.

Lastly, Scentbird Monthly Perfume Box downloads showed a modest increase in early December, reaching 3.5K, and concluded the quarter with similar figures. WAUs saw a peak of 11K in early October, with a slight decrease to 9K by the end of December.
